If I could ask you a question, it would be
Who are you? To give birth to the promise of God
amidst unprecedented controversy
Mary, Virgin girl
facilitating the greatest miracle
the breath of life sent to awaken a dead world
Your worth lay wrapped in swaddling clothing
forever changed
Who are you Mary, sweet Mary
sweat and tears flow down your face
Covered with His blood,
glowing with the Savior’s grace
the King laying comfortably in your hands
Mary, Mother of Jesus
who are you? I’ll never understand
Or know enough to be satisfied
Oh Lord, Mary, what was your life
