i feel strangely at ease here
in the midst of looming turbulence
mid-flight, i feel calm instead
we know where we took off
we know where we should land
but we know nothing about the
middle, of nowhere, it may seem
to us who are blissfully ignorant
of what it takes to fly
what a feat of faith and trust
that someone knows where to go
it is peaceful here as sheep
flocking among the clouds
fleeing the trouble on the ground below
