Kisses in the wind
Time has gone
I can’t remember
The feel of your skin
Pressed against mine
Can’t recall the sound of
Your voice in my ear
All the fears
I had came true
The walls I built
The walls you tried to tear down
Reinforced, indestructible now
Like titanium, brittle when cold
Susceptible to oxygen
Making air my weakness
So when I breathe, air chips away
At the dam holding it all in
When I breathe, inhale
Feel it crack
Pieces in the wind
